Beskrivelse af programpunkterne

The New Toy Safety Regulation

The new Toy Safety Regulation has just been adopted. The Regulation includes a lot of new elements that the industry needs to adapt to within the coming years.
The Danish Safety Technology Authority and The Ministry of Environment and Gender Equality will provide an overview of this.
Toy Industries of Europe will talk about their work and the flights and battles they have gone through on behalf of the reputable toy sector. What has been achieved and what remains to be handled in subsequent legislation. Further they will outline their expectations and discussions with the Commission on guidelines to the regulation.
There will also be time for questions and discussions with both the authorities and the industry.

Protecting Children from Unsafe Toys Sold via Online Marketplaces

The Danish government has established a task force to address the growing concern around the safety of toys and other consumer goods sold through online marketplaces such as Temu, Amazon, and similar platforms. Currently, an estimated 4.6 billion products are entering the EU annually from third-country sellers via these channels—many of which do not comply with EU safety regulations.
At this session, representatives from the task force will provide insight into their work, including the scope of their analysis and expected policy recommendations to the EU Commission.
The event will also feature a briefing on key EU-level initiatives aimed at strengthening consumer protection and enforcement mechanisms. In addition, The Danish Association of Play and Toy Industries of Europe will provide insight in their policy work in Brussels and share the industry's perspective on needed regulatory improvements.
Participants will have the opportunity to contribute comments and input as part of an open dialogue on this pressing issue.

Genbrugsmarkedet for legetøj
