All retailers, who want to sell electronic cigarettes and refill containers with nicotine across the border (e.g. online trading) must register with the Danish Safety Technology Authority.

Manufacturers and importers of e-cigarettes and refill containers with nicotine must ensure that the products have a health warning in Danish and are labeled correctly.

The Danish legislation with requirements on products, registration and control is based on the EU directive on electronic cigarettes and tobacco.

Electronic cigarettes and refill containers with and without nicotine may only be marketed in Denmark if they have been registered with the Danish Safety Technology Authority.
