Rules on Traceability of Tobacco Products - Track and Trace

The traceability system for tobacco products has been introduced in the EU to combat illegal trade. The system ensures that all types of tobacco products can be traced all the way from the factory to the retail outlet selling tobacco to consumers. Each package receives a unique ID marking, allowing authorities to follow the tobacco product’s journey throughout the entire distribution chain.
